Back in the 11s again! Woohoo! First time since the roll bar was installed that I've run 11s on motor.
Went to HRP for Saturday Bracket racing in the footbrake class.
Ran two time trial passes, 12.03 and 12.04. Set a dial in of 12.05, but just before entering the line I decided to change it to 12.03 (we had sat and cooled for a while). Lined up against a purple charger/challenger with a rollbar. We both cut equally $hitty lights me .97 to his .94. He dialed an 11.65 or so and ran an 11.71. I dialed the 12.03 and ran 12.036 (woohoo I won). Next round got lined up against a stock looking 94-96 looking F150 regular cab. He had an 18.11 dialed in to my 12.03. He got a six second head start, thought I would never catch him. About the 1000 foot mark or so I was screaming up on him. Right about when I got to his door, I slammed on the brakes and stayed about 1 car out on him. BTW, both of us cut decent lights, my .549 to his .573. He ran an 18.23 on his 18.11 dial. I ran 12.008@102mph (on the brakes hard) and broke out (damnit, these second round blues suck).
So anyways, since I broke out I went to run time trials. Time trial runs below:
pass # 60' 1/4 ET
1. 1.78 11.971 114.22
2. 1.75 11.923 114.11
3. 1.72 11.934 114.30
4. 1.74 11.898 114.41
5. 1.77 11.946 114.41
My sixty foots are major suffering from the addition of the 28" slicks and the victor intake, still using the 2800 rpm converter. I'm thinking I need to get it restalled to 4000 rpm, then I should see low 1.6s or even 1.5x sixty foots. As you can see the mph is enough to run a mid 11 with a good enough sixty foot.
Vehicle weight with me in it 3120. Running the open h-pipe, no mufflers, thats the only change from previous quarter mile times at FFW.
