Im sure they wont be getting back for a while. Hell, when we left at 10, they hadnt even started elimintaions! There were a TON of cars there and a TON of people.

I heard last night Alex was the top qualifier with an 8.59 or something. I'm sure Martin will do pretty good he always does. :burnout:

Well I lost trird round and left the track at 3.45 in the morning. They still had a lot of racing left. Should have been a two day event. Thats enough bout me.

Alex got a bye run first round. Made a few changes to the tune and ran a best ever 8.48 at 163.9 MHP. Thats over a tenth faster than he had ever gone.

Round 2 Alex treed the car he was racing by .05 and ran a .01 faster eighth mile so he was .06 ahead at the eighth. He thought he was running around a 9 second car so he lifted and tapped the brakes at the finish line to not be so hard on the motor.
Well he ran a car that went 8.42 and got passed right before the finish line.
He ran an 8.51 at 153 MPH. He had the race won but it was real close.
I know after talking to him about that one it will never happen again.
Now about the car, we have been on a steep learning curve for three years with this car and am finally making some good progress. I always thought 8.40s were in it and now I believe there might be 8.30s. This is with a very out dated XX mondo blower.
It was great meeting some of you and seeing some I already new.
Shane helped out tremendously. Thanks Shane. Hope you had a good time.

I had a bad ass time. Many Many bad ass cars. Its a shame what happend to Alex. I do think he has learned his lesson to never underestimate his oponent. I was a tired pomofo getting home at 7 a.m. this morning.

BTW Martin.....On the way home, I was looking at Alex's time slip from the last round. He lost to the other car by ONLY .001!!!

Actually Alex was the #4 qualifyer with a 8.51 (Ran a 8.48 first round of eliminations). The #1 qualifyer was a beautiful fox body coupe with a turbo tuned by Mike Murillo that ran a 8.35. Unfortunately he found metal shavings in his oil before the first round and decided to stop there to limit the motor to anymore damage. Either the #2 or #3 qualifyer also had problems and was unable to make eliminations. Alex ended up being one of the top cars in the field as a result. Unfortunately a mental mistake kept him from winning the event.

Nope it was an 8.61 which was next to his best run ever.
He made a few changes to the tune and the 8.48 came out of no where. The run he lost was faster is he had not lifted off the gas :ashamed: It was the 8.51 at only 153MPH.

I believe he has figured out how to tune the FAST system to what the car likes. :D
I also believe there are 8.30's in this combination once we figure out the rear suspension.
Now we need a bigger blower. Maybe a 7 second slip in the near future on true 10.5 tires.

BTW: The car he lost to won the event.

I was about to ask that! What was this other car? Color? What was he packing under the hood?

If I remember correctly, it was grey with flames on it. Not sure the size of the motor, but I know it was powered by a Procharger. He did have more MPH then Alex did. That sucks cause Alex probably would have won the event cause he had the guy beat. He only lost cause he lifted at the end giving the guy the win.

Yea he had one of the new F series Procharger's that pump out TWICE the air Alex's XX Vortech does.
The Vortech is rated at 1850CFM at 60,000 RPM.
The Procharger D3R is rated at 3400CFM at 48,000 RPM.
The F4 series are higher than that. Man do we need a new blower.
Anyone want to sponsor a race car:D :blue:

ahahahaha...the best I can do is offer my wrench turning abilities. Even then, I am not sure that worth anything. :D

I think Alex would kick some serious butt with a new D3 Procharger. We need to keep egging on Alex to get one Martin.

I have contacted one company about a sponsorship that previously helped out with the last owner. Might not go anywhere but it's worth a try.
