Since the grand unveiling of the pomofo shirts at FFW I've talked to several stangers (mostly in Pearland) and when I mention POMOFO, they're like "yeah man, I saw those guys what's that all about" , and "who are those guys?". So I was just wanting to let everyone know that our presence was felt. What's really cool is that one of the people is my wifes boss who as it turns out has a supercharged fox body and a 2000 gt with some bolt ons from what I understand. Has anyone else heard reports of these mysterious POMOFOs? I think it's kickass that we got such good exposure. Was Carl wearing a POMOFO shirt when he got his low 12 sec. (congrats Carl) picture taken? Maybe it will get published somewhere.

Good deal Robert! We might have to get the yahoos in our area together some time (after I change clutches, please :D)...

I know Tony Skinner has his hooptie about broken in, and another local just upped the ante in his Lightning (if his coupe doesn't get you first!).

If you know of any 'locals' that need/want decals, I bought twenty (20) 10" decals for that purpose.

PoMoFo, SE chapter resident...

(BTW, have you heard rumors of a track being built south of Alvin on 35? Not sure if it's 1/8 or 1/4, but I hear the dirt work is about done...)

Nay!

Nay! [/B]

I overheard some conversation over the weekend of a track that was being built near Santa Fe. Not sure how true any of this is, but it sure sounds good!!

Troy...Cristina was told by a guy that he is working on putting up a track somewhere wround the Louetta area if I remember correctly. Something about an old airport or something. That will be cool cause it will be much closer then any of the others.

Troy,

From what I've gathered from my SCCA conehead buddies, the facility around Santa Fe/Dickenson was supposed to be a full Solo II course plus a drag strip (1/4, I believe). It is reported the guy go so far on the SCCA course, and ran out of money. He requested/begged/pleaded for sponsors, and nobody pitched in. I know they ran a coupld of events at the old blimp base, and that was to be the road course...

Since that deal fell through, another independent land-owner took it upon himself to 'do the deed'. I need to find out, as that would be nice for us south-easterners (but not much good for you guys)...

Troy, you're near the Astrodome? That wouldn't be too far for you, and I'm sure the track would attract some of the NASA crowd, as well as the Galveston group...

Shane, I haven't heard anything about at track near Louetta. That would be cool though.

Chris, I live near Cypress. No one could pay me enough to live near the Dome. I hope the track near you is a go. I don't mind driving to get to the track. I am planning on going to the next event in Seguin, I just need to get on the site and see what their schedule looks like. Anyway, it would be cool to have another track around.

I'm smack dab in the middle of Sealy and Baytown: 44 miles each way, from my driveway.

Can't beat it, but I wish there was one closer :). Louetta would be nice, but that doesn't sound like a reality. That area is pretty well built up, I think.
