well i am heading out of town on sept 10 to byron IL for three weeks and i need to get my truck ready cause it is 1166miles one way there....i need to know what i need to get done to my truck as change fuild the whole nine...my truck has 80k right now......and what type of oil should i stick in it....i have been using 5w30 what should i which to

What kind of truck?

I would just do the standard tune up, perhaps a fuel filter change as well. Might consider having the trans looked at, though it may not be necessary.

As for oil, stick with the factory recommended weight.

i am not wanting to do to much cause i am getting rid of it when i get back into town.....i just need to make sure it is not going to brake down.....i will be putting about 5k in 3months on the truck and it is just a 4.2L

5w30, tranny service (doesnt cost but like $10 if you do it yourself i dont think), plugs, wires, and look at your tires and make sure they're good ta go, and properly inflated.
