I also have a F-body Z28 and its my first. I am having trouble deciding where to start on this. What have you done to yours and where should I start? All I've done so far is a B&M shiftplus. I need some knowledge.

It's a 94 Z28. It has around 100,000 on it. I just bought it so I don't know what if anything has been done to it. I already bought the NOS LT1 kit, but it's sitting in my kitchen :ashamed: I just wanted to make sure the motor is right before I put it on. The NOS kit was designed for the stock motor but not one with 100k on it. Will there be any chevy people at ennis for the ffw? I hadn't planned on bringing the Z but I guess I could if it would help.:D

JB (JeB) is the resident LT1 guy. He has one that should turn out pretty quick.

You've made the right choice my son. NOS is the nectar of the gods! I have a different motor then you...but with nothing but the dope and an airbox lid my car ran 11's. Not too shabby if you ask me.

Let's see if JB jumps in here for some directions for you.

Is yours an LS1? also what shot got you down to 11's?

Yes mine is a 2002 with an LS1. I was running the 150 shot when I made that 11 second pass.

Definitely a Precision Industries Vigilante Torque Converter... that's the first modification that I would make with an automatic :) They love Cold Air Induction Kits (Moroso 65845 or K&N 57-3010-1). That should be a good start...
