Since I'm on a mod roll now after tintinfg Woody's back window, I thought I'd tackle the second mod before starting on the rest of the tint...
I ordered some stuff from Techronics (http://www.techronics.com) to liven things up a little...
I also managed to get a <s>good</s> GREAT deal from D! on the amp (thanks again D!), and I still have the sub enclosure (box) Robert gave me the first time I owned Woody, LOL! Hopefully the thing will be loud enough to allow me to cruise the ghetto in style!
I cut the ABS Tyro was gracious enough to supply and Jason was good enough to swing by and get for me; did a quick posterboard template to check fit and cut the plate with a utility knife (lickety-split!)...

Layed out and trimmed the factory faceplate (an extra I had) to allow the DIN radio install vs the shaft unit...
Trial fit the head unit to see the extent of gap; not too much...

Layed out and trimmed the ABS, and there ain't much left! Trial fit the whole thing together, and it looks pretty good, although it will go mostly unnoticed...
When I get back from hunting, I'll start the install in earnest...

I remember a thread a while back about a car you got on eBay... is this it? Can someone link my "welcome to last year" ass to the thread that shows pics of the car?

Chad,
I -did- win a car on Ebay; a $189 Futura that was 'decent' according to the description, but then again it was written by someone else, LOL! When I arrived to pick it up, not only was it missing the side trim (knew that, no big deal), but the windshield trim, rear glass trim, door trim (and fuzzys), the carpet was gone, the driver's door panel was gone, and the driver's glass was broken out. That, and he hadn't pulled the drivetrain yet. The more I looked the less I liked, and drove home empty-trailered. Fortunately I got $180 of my $189 back, but it took a month or so...
About a week after the above I posted a rear brake bracket on turbomustangs, and got a PM from a guy in San Antonio: here's the post. (http://www.pomoforacing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9557&highlight=woody)
Long story real short: I bought back the wagon I wanted to replace, some two years after selling it, with 90% of the parts I sold, in the same condition/state. Been driving it back and forth to work for a week or better now, and it's a cool beater...
Plans are to do some work after the first of the year:
Swap 200-6 for 5.0
Swap 4-speed fopr T-5
Fuel inject
SFC's
Five-lug conversion with Cobra brakes all around
8.8 rear w/3.55's
Bullitt's w/245's and 275's
finish tinting, LOL!
First thing though is the stereo; have to have tunes, you know!

Excellent work! Just like the AOD (that's still in the back of the Pacifica...lol)

One word DYNAMAT

Actually, this stuff comes highly recommended - it's considerably cheaper than the Dynamat extreme and still Butyl-based as opposed to the asphault-based original Dynamat

I actually used FATMAT extreme on my truck and it seems to do a really good job. $100 worth was enough to do the cab of my truck along with the inner and outer sides of both doors. HUGE difference.

What do you think this thing is, something of value? It's a wagon, LOL!
BTW, I got most of the stereo put in yesterday; four speakers, deck installed, sub box loaded with speakers, and amp semi-installed. Opted to run an old Alpine amp I had (from my younger, wilder days!), but need to find out how to wire it. I seemed to have misplaced the manual for it sometime between now and 1985...
I also need a replacement connection for the sub box; one of the contact thingys was melted...
A couple of pictures to follow later...

That took longer than expected, but I got it wrapped up last night (after some 14 hours or so, LOL!)...
Took a chance and figured out how to trigger the amp to come on, despite not having the manual from above...
The plate kind of pooched up on top when I bent the locking tabs in place, but not too bad. Check out the pimp box yO! I'm rollin' in style now!
Just need to get the ashtray installed and it's done...for a while!

I also managed to start something else I've been wantting to do for a -long- time. I was actually more nervous about this than having my wisdom teeth pulled, LOL!

Had to come up with a way to cool the wort, so, here's my take on it! Let it ferment for about 3-1/2 days, and was a bit anxious about it when it wasn't bubbling anymore. The taste though? Fantastic!
Initial SG was about 1.045, prior to racking (where it's sitting now for another week or so (can't recall exact time required off the top of my thinning head!)) it was at 1.015; perfect!
After bottling it needs to sit for four to eight weeks; just in time for NayBier on New Years!
Notice the proper use of first semester law books! First time they have been put into service since, um, then! Yea, that's it!

No whistle Rickey D, just a good ole 5.0 for DD duties...maybe some train horns though...
Yea, right! I wonder how long that will last, LOL!
Oh yea, while waiting for the wort to cool, I wrote a new book, sort of an autobiographical fiction thing. The 'missing piece', as I call it, is Woody incarnate. 'Shel Silverstien' is my psuedonym, based on the acronym my womens call me, SS; 'Super Sexy'! What's the book about? Buy it, read it, and find out fors yourselfs! How do you think I can afford this fly ride w/o moneys?!
