well..... i finally got tha 350 out of tha nova last weekend with tha help of my good buddy james (hangnail). we got it out and torn down in about 1 1/2hrs. during tha week i got tha old rings off, and tryed ta clean tha piston grooves to no avail. today i went to autozone and rented some stuff. ended up gettin tha grooves cleaned, honing the block, installing the new rings, and now at 2:10 am saturday morning, the pistons/rods, are back in their happy little homes. im gonna go back out here in a few minutes and slap tha new cam and lifters in, and possibly put tha heads back on. its startin ta look like makin tha C.C.B. next weekend isnt gonna be all that hard.
*illfated prays that hes doin this right........
tha motor should be fully assembled and back in tha nova sometime tomarro (er today) and be ready fer action saturday night...... ill show them rice boys whos boss.:)
more to come.....

Don't you just love old carbed cars. Takes no time at all to yank those suckers.

yea, what james said.:)
im sure its a simple enough thing ta do, but i cant figure out how ta get tha motor on tha mounts and plugged into tha tranny while tha tranny is up in tha car, so im just gonna say fuck it and drop tha tranny and do it tha only way i know how. i figure this will also give me tha chance ta put tha floor shifter in if i can get ahold of shaggy. hopefully she will be runnin today, but im aiming more fer tomarro due to so minor electrical that im gonna have ta werk out, unless a get some serious drive and energy and just get it all done today.

Hey Shawn, you may have said this before, but what does your 350 consist of?

its pretty much bone stock, but i dont think its too bad..... fer now.
its a 350, cast pistons w/4 valve reliefs, stock 72cc cast iron heads, stock aluminum intake, stock quadra-crap carb, and a summit cam now. new lifters, rings, hone, rod bearings, and mucho cleaning (compared to what it was like when i pulled it) and thats about it. it should run better than ever.... and i was inpressed with it when i first got it and it was runnin kinda crappy, but that was also tha first v8 i have ever really sat behinde. im very anxious to see what it'll do, and god willing we'll all see what it can do at C.C.B.:)
oh yea, what i was sayin about tha heads being 72cc, yes this means its a low compression motor..... so if anyone has a supercharger fer a carbed v8 that they wouldnt mind lettin me borrow till i get tha new motor build, it would be much abliged.:)

Sounds cool man! I started work on my car too. First task was cleaning all the crapola off of it and putting it on the shelves :). It would be cool to see your car at CCB (if I go...).
