My son was just playing with one of his Hot Wheels cars (a '70 Mustang) and he was doing burnouts. He looked at me and said, "Hey dad. Hey dad...look at this. This car has 400...400 horsepower...watch this burnout."

I couldn't be happier.

He is now sitting here talking to me about painting his Hot Wheels cars. LOL!

Kids say and do the funniest things. My kids still run in place all the time saying they're doing burnouts.

Yesterday was the 1st day of school. My son, Sully, is now in 1st grade, and Courtney started Kindergarden. I'm in Minnesota this week for work so I had to call home as soon as they got out of school to find out what they did and how things went. The Liz tells me that Sully' teacher asked him to draw something he did this summer. He draw a picture of he and carrying wood to the burn pile. Something we did just recently when I cut out an old power line support pole that wasn't being used anymore. On the back of the paper he drew a picture of he and I hanging out of the windows of our house. I have to say, that sure makes up for almost burning down the back yard (http://www.pomoforacing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7774&highlight=sully+fire) and calling 911 to fix a flat on the golf cart! ROFLOL! All I learned last summer was:

...his first beer*! Guiness, no less! That's the last time I let the Baptist's take him to Ireland!

Micheal tugged at my shirt one day a couple of months ago waiting in line at Kroger and said "You know what dad? The new Corvette is going to have 600hp!"

*was only a sample, and the grimace he made with the first taste was missed; this is a staged shot!

LOL, get that long-haired hippy a haircut! (and tell him I said hello, ;))

Chips off the ol' small blocks, all of them.

Maybe one day I'll have a terror of my own. I'm gonna be old though, :(

Congrats Garrett!

I remember when we brought Sully home. He was quiet the whole way. We pulled up to the house got out, looked him, and said "So what do we do with that?" LOL

Yep, congrats are in order....
Just remember, when you change the diaper, stand to the side.... they (We) seem to have this thing about pooping first, then letting the whizz fly when you open the diaper up....

What really ticked me off was when changing a poopie diaper on Courtney, she would always want to reach down there and feel around. It was a task of speed and dexterity to change the diaper while keeping both of her hands clear of the mess. One day I wasn't so quick and she grabbed a handful of poop that she promptly smeared all over the WHITE wall next to her changing table while I was stuck digging around for a clean diaper to put on her.

We've since repainted the whole room....ugh.
