Here are a few pics (out of almost 100, lol, I was fascinated).

I wish I could put up all the honeymoon pics (we saw some cool stuff) but I dont have the room to host them. The folder of the day we visited the dam is 7.8mb by itself!

Hope you enjoy. Regardless of the pics, you cant get a true feel for the grand scale of the dam without visiting it yourself. It is something everyone should try to visit at least once in their life.

I went there years ago and the one thing I remember is that when you stand at the top and you look over, it's just unreal....pictures don't even do it justice.

Maybe it's the slope as it goes down, but I remember not feeling real comfortable standing at the edge....hehe

Janell and I recently went on our 5 year anniversary trip to Santa Fe, NM. We took a day trip to Taos and went to the Rio Grande Gorge. It was incredible. You are driving down from the mountains out across flat desert and then all the sudden you see a bridge. You get on that bridge and the earth drops 1500 feet! It is amazing. Pictures really don't do that kind of stuff justice. We got home and looked at our pictures and it looked like we were looking at a little stream running through some rocks, LOL!
