I really think i have a problem.

I had been considering buying a R/C car for a while and finally bought one. My brother didn't help much since he already had one and we have both had them since we were younger. I looked for a while and finally decided on a Traxxas T-Maxx with a 3.3 nitro engine. Out of the box it was fun, but that is where my problem began(along with my car being in the shop for repairs).

Before I even took delivery of it I already bought a 73 Bronco body for it. After that came the urge to put some wheels and tires on it. The wheels are real bead locks with aluminum rings and composite wheels in black chrome. I've had it for about 3 weeks and I feel like making the car faster and I haven't even taken it off road yet.

Anyone else have any R/C cars? Post some pics if you got'em.

Here's a few quick shot of the new hobby/money pit.

I really need to get mine back to the shop for the much needed repairs. I cracked the engine mount, broke the front differential and the flywheel keeping going bad. They are extremely fun but sometimes a bit tempermental with the tune. But I had mine running in march when one day it was 50 degrees and one day 70 degrees which threw the tune off big time.

I have a Traxxis Revo with the 2.5 engine. Everything is still stock. This winter I need to get that thing running again. I need to buy a new body, mine is tore up pretty bad.

I've got a XTM X-Terminator buggy. It's been on the shelf for a few years, but it looks like new!!

I've always wanted one of those, but they look addicting and I can only have one money-pit of a hobby at a time...:) Maybe once I give up on "big" cars.....

Oh don't get me started on R/C cars. Three years ago I was totally consumed by it. Let's see, I had an EMAXX, RC10T3 with about 10 different motors, a Hudy comm lath, a full tackle box of everything to fix it, three T-maxxes, a Madforce (hence my screen name), a Factory Team RC10GT and a Savage. Nothing was stock and in less than two years I had dumped over $6K into this hobby. Seems I was on every forum and buying stuff from tower hobbies on a weekly basis. When I found out I was going to be a daddy, I sold everything on eBay. Honestly, the stress was too much...always trying to figure out how to make things bigger and badder.

I wrote a nitro tuning flow chart that years later I see others referring to on some forums. I got my tuning down so well my RC10GT used to wheelie on demand with just a .15 sized motor! I used to port and polish, re-sleeve and experiement with different length headers for max torque and speed.

I posted some pictures of some (my work computer doesn't have all my RC truck pictures) at this (http://home.houston.rr.com/rogerandjulie/RC/) link.

Let me know if you have questions about anything...I can probably answer it for you.

BTW, the guy that bought my madforce truck told me the truck was used in an RC DVD produced out of Canada, so I bought the video and sure enough there it was. Pissed me off. I should have never sold that truck. It would wheelie and spin donuts just like the REAL monster trucks.
