I've actually read the original thread off the Mopar forums and it's very, very interesting. Some people have actually found that a marine-grade paint goes on in fewer coats and takes less sanding/buffing to look good. In fact, there was some crazy Canuck on that thread that painted an ASC/McLaren Mustang with a roller. It looked ok...he might have put it on a bit thick.

The guy that started the thread had a bright orange 60s Charger painted just like the General Lee. All done with "Valspar" (Rustoleum's Canadian brand) for about $50. It looked really good in the pics..... For $50, there's no crying when you get a scratch on it... hahaha
