Well tore the heads off the ol 308 today and that's as far as i've got,and it ain't pretty. The block has a crack about a 1/16" wide from the front all the way to the back of the block, and the distributor won't come out:ashamed: Gonna pull the short block out tommorrow and see how many pistons and rods are hurt, hopefully they are salvageable.Right now from looking at it the tops of all the pistons look really good, hopefully none of the skirts are broke and they can be reused in another little punk motor we have sitting on the porch.I'll post some pics tommorrow when all is pulled apart.

Well if you are able to salvage the Pistons and rods, let me know, I have that fresh 308 block and crank waiting on some innards, I'll save ya the trouble of testing them, Just throw them x's in and I'll try to blast ya outta da water.
For the distributor, sounds like the cam is toast, get the sb out and we'll try to funk the durn thing out by bustin' the block. I'm off Sunday and Monday, and I'll prolly see you Tomorrow, so if you're working on it, let's set it up.
I got the rear and roof hoops up and the front supports in. waiting on the QA1 k and front coilovers before I do much else. Then I got the rear to do, but need more $$$ for that. Anyone here ever converted a 65 truck 9 inch over to fit a fox?
BTW Ray, how was vacation?
