A great time was had by all.

'Good to see a lot of you guys. 'Sorry about the ones who couldn't/didn't make it out.

No PoMoFo won $10,000.00 but there were some good times (both on and off the track).

Thanks for the burger, Nay! (and the AOD and convertor. Will do busines with again A++++++).

The huge crowd appeared to be second in size only to the NHRA O'Reily Nationals.

Oh yeah, we saw lots of Vegas, I mean Mavericks, I mean Gremlins - one in particular ("Kelvin") that went down to the final four and lost by 1/2 of a blond hair at the finish.

Kelvin was a crowd favorite, for sure.

When you get a chance, ask him what he'll do differently next year, pls.

I had a good time as well, thanks to all for being there!

I cringed every time they announced 'Kevin'...I hope they get Kelvin's name right for the airing...

Is the airing tonight?

Surely one of you not-so-po-mo-fo's has a DVD recorder for those of us less fortunate and would be willing to record it for a nominal fee.

The airing probably won't be be for a couple of months I'm sure. They didn't air Ennis until Nov, and it was taped in Sept.

I had a great time as well. Been too long since I had been to the track and hang out with friends. I can hope it will be sooner then later when we do it again. The crowd was definately the largest I've seen at HRP in a long time.

I didn't get to meet Rich Christiansen (didn't really want too), but I did get a pretty good pic of him :blue: :blue:

Oh yeah, Ben just happens to be in the pic too :thumb: :thumb: Second qualifying pass of the day

Beautiful pass down the track too. I'll let you divulge the numbers. ;) The car is just sick. Even the announcer was immpressed and said "Now that was cool" after you went through the traps.

You did us PoMoFo'ers proud

That must be ben's other car. That car just missed the cut running 9.80's. Guess Raj is safe for another year. Everyone knows Ben's car is down for crank repairs . :)

I can tell you what he'll do next time if there is a next time, being as I was there with him. Arm the nitrous system just in case you need a few inches more at the finish line, but we had a great time for sure.

Yeah, I thought things ran fairly smoothly, especially after hearing all the gripe about Dallas. Having tech on Friday was the best thing they could have done. It brought in a lot of cars for Friday test and tune which brought the track some money, and it got tech out of the way so the 300+ cars could run on Saturday.

I accomplished my goal which was to run the 10.50s that I pre-registered as. And to do it while looking like a plain old street mustang. Just wasn't the right ET for the show I guess. Next time I'll run the 10.00s that they seem to favor.

it was pretty much non-stop racing all day!! except for the poor lexus incident.. guess he found out what drifting was. Import or not it still sux to see someone demolish their car. Really well run. Bill alexander could take a lesson.

I had a great time. After going out and being around cars and good people all day I was excited enought that I woke up the next morning and POR15'd the entire frame, front end, and rear end on the Lightning. Not to mention welding an exhaust leak, chasing down a vaccum leak, and replacing the hardest to get to hose on the whole truck. It did me good just to get out and be around "it" :werd:

Shoot, took me a few 'extra' hours to recuperate, LOL! Michael and I laid on the couch half the afternoon...

WUSSY!

I got home about 11:15 Saturday night and unloaded the car and suburban. Up at 7:30 Sunday, out the door by 8:00 with the family, picked up tractor at 8:30am and headed to Conroe. Got to conroe about 10:15. On the tractor leveling ground and knocking out trees/bushes from 10:45 to 12:45, then back on it from 1:30 til 5:30pm. Had some dinner and left conroe about 7:30pm, dropped off the tractor and got home about 9:30pm last night!

Now I'm at work dead on my feet LOL.

Courtney (Ben and Liz's little one) wanted to see the Monster Trucks go down the track.

I can't believe how much she's grown since I bought her a losing Lotto ticket for her last birthday.

YW, Ben.

I think O! took a picture with a 'real' camera. It probably came out a lot better.

Didn't get home til after 10 Sunday night, frigging traffic in Hillsboro was jacked, hour and 20 minutes to go 15 miles. It didn't help that I stuck around to re-landscape Ben's front yard....I'll let him tell the story.
Had a great time, good to see everyone again!!!!
Can't wait to see ya'll again, I'm actually looking to transfer to our Conroe plant if possible. :naughty:

man sunday killed me!!!

I had a flight to catch at 6pm so we left the track at 9am. Got home, and while turning on my horseshoe driveway the trailer got STUCK in the soft soil in my front yard...due to all of the rain. I unhitched the RV and hitched up my truck and IT got stuck! So I unhitched my truck, pulled the mustang out of the trailer (that was a trick as we had to jack up the stuck side of the trailer to get it square enough for the ramp to come down) and then called a buddy with a 4x4 powerstroke to come by and pull my trailer out of the front yard. What an ordeal!!!

Thanks to Frank & Todd (buddy of mine with the 4x4) for helping me get out of my own damned front yard in time to catch my flight out!

yeah and she knows how to use her cuteness to her advantage!!!! the worst thing is, no one minds doing her bidding.
Still one of the best outings I've had in a long time. The only thing I can think of to make it better, is get all the guys to run ALL OUT by putting up cash for low e.t. and high mph. there were tons of 8 nsecond cars running 10.0 on detuned na motors trying to make the show, several did.
