got a ticket today...

i got a ticket today, and he wrote me up for "excessive noise - spinning tires" is that actually an offense? would it be hard to get out of? oh and what are the odds of an hpd cop showing up to court?

excessive noise? is that in referance to your exhaust er to your tires spinning? they cant really give you a ticket fer excessive noise unless you (or you car) make more than i think 78db at "x" amount of feet (i think its 50-75ft, but i could be wrong on that).

if you had 2 offenses (excessive noise AND spinning your tires) the "spinning tires" offense should have been called excessive acceleration. i know its a play on werds, but hey, its technicalities like that that'll get you tha win.:)

as far as will the HPD cop show up to court.... YES. even if he is on duty at tha time, they will show up, couse either way they are gettin payed.... it doesnt make 2 shits ta them where they are, as long as they get paid, and court will get them outta tha squad car fer a while.

i would try that lawyer that shaggy posted about. ive heard good things about him from numerous people, unfortunately fer me, it was after i was issued 6 warrants for my arrest (are they still pending? I'LL NEVER TELL!!!!). ;)

Depends on the state...no such offense here in PA, it would be written up as careless driving.

Actually you can get a ticket for excessive noise-spinning tires. I got one of those in my first hot rod :( I did about a 3 ft long one wheel peel in some gravel and he gave me a ticket.

Just out of curiosity...what does this guy charge to fight a ticket? I know the going rate is usually $100-$150

About $120. That was what I paid him for my racing ticket....

Sprecher got me out of a ticket for racing as well. I think I paid him $150. It was about 6 months ago or so.
