Ok, here it is.... Information on the 1st Annual PoMoFoRacing Get Together (GTG)!!! Since the site is made up of folks all over the state and country, this is a chance for us to ALL come together and meet up, hang out, party, race, etc at the SAME TIME! This is the best Fun Ford Weekend Event of the year and I can see no better place to hold the 1st annual GTG! All the big boys show up for this last event of the season, and the past 3 years, I've seen class records fall during this weekend of racing.

As with the local Houston CCB post, I will do a rundown...

You might be wondering "What is Fun Ford Weekend?": Visit www.funfordevents.com to see for yourself.

The date you ask?: September 20, 21 & 22. The 20th (Friday) is just a test and tune night and a good time to get setup in the pits and party with us PoMoFoRacers. On the 21st, qualifying for the heads up classes occurs, as does the running of the True Street Class and the different bracket racing classes. Sunday, the 22nd, it's the final eliminations of the heads up classes (this is VERY enjoyable racing, imo) and another day of brackets (you have a chance to win brackets 2 days in a row, in more than one class if you'd like!)

The time?: Gates open at 10am Friday to start getting your pit areas setup. On Saturday, they open at 7am and on Sunday, 8am. The racing begins almost immediately after the opening of the gates on Saturday and Sunday, and lasts all day long!

The price for entry?:

The following prices are for spectators:
$10 for entry Friday night
$20 entry for single day tickets for either Saturday or Sunday.
$35 if you buy tickets for both days at the same time, you save $5.

Prices for racing varies on the class you are running. If you want prices for a specific class, post here.

Who's gonna be there?: That's the point of this thread, to get a headcount on who is gonna be there, who will be pitted with the PoMoFoRacing group (so we know how much pit space to try and save), and who is gonna stop by and harass us if they see us at the track. Some of us have hotel arrangements made already (in a small town just west of the track) and while this hotel is booked, Im told a few others still have rooms available. Also, people usually end up crashing on floors as well, so just bring your body, we'll worry about rooms later! It's not like you'll be sleeping much anyway, during this weekend!

I hope to see ALL the PoMoFo's out there so I can meet some new faces and party with some old ones (ugly ones too)!!

Regards,

I will be there in spirit again this year. Maybe someday I'll actually have the car running.. We will have another racer coming down and is planning on running Street Bandit class and possibly another that will be contending for first in True Street.

I'll be there. Hopefully I'll be able to race. It all depends on how much I can get done in the next couple of weeks. I still need to put GT brakes on the back of my car and get tires and airbags.

So if anybody has SN95 caliper brackets, rear air-bags and 26x11.5-15 ET Streets let me know. I'm looking for some deals. I also need to know where to rent a trailer for a decent amount since I'll be running on stock SN95 axles. So much to do, so little time....

$60 entry for True Street gets you into the track Saturday, lets you run the event, and gets you into the track Sunday, and you can run the brackets for true streeters only for free that day.

It's a good deal, IMO. If you didn't race, you'd pay $35 to get in Sat and Sunday anyways, so for $25 more, you get to race True Street on Sat, and Brackets on Sunday. Not bad, IMO.
