Well, the August CCB (as many of you know) was a rain out.
Trying it once again, it's time for the Car Club Bash (CCB) at Sealy's Lonestar Raceway (http://www.lonestarraceway.com).
The date you ask? September 7th.
The time? Gates open at 5pm, elims start at 6:30-7pm.
The price for entry? $15 to race, $10 to spectate
What the hell is it? It's a bracket racing event pitting the Houston Area car clubs against each other with points awarded for each win. All this is done in hopes of being points champion at the end of the season. We are currently in 6th place, trailing the 5th place team by 32 points. Hopefully we can overtake that position this next event!
Who's gonna be there? That's unknown. The last CCB that was rained out would have been our best outing YET. We HAD over 10 PoMoFoRacers show up at the track, just to be turned away at the gates. It would be GREAT if we could duplicate that turnout! Inform us here on this post if you plan on making it out! We usually have at least 4-8 cars running, and even more show up just to hang out and BS. You dont HAVE to race in the event to get together with us and have a good time.
Additional Incentives? It's a great chance to meet up with many of the other local PoMoFo's who might not live as close to each other or have the time to hang out very often. It's a 150 mile round trip for me, but I make it every month b/c its my one good chance to see all my buddies.
Will this guy ever shut up? Yes yes, Im done. :blue:
