Do you have the nut for either side to use as a comparison?
Depending on how fucked up it is, you may not want to chance it. If the strut comes loose from the C-C plate while driving, that would be mighty ugly.. :(

Here's a way to find out...
First, measure the diameter of the stud. Use calipers if possible (just for example, 5/8").
Next, measure out 1/2" of threads... in this distance, count how many threads there are. Multiply the number you come up with by 2 to get the thread pitch per inch (TPI). (example, 6.5 threads x 2 = 13).
This would give you the thread size.... in the example, you'd have 5/8-13 threads (5/8 coarse).
If you don't have 1/2" of threads to count, count the threads in 1/4" distance and multiply the number by 4.
Hope this helps.

FWIW, my lakewood 90/10's use the same nut thats used at the spindle mounting point. (2 huge bolts and nuts)

Uh, captain obvious....he's talking about the threads on the upper mount of the strut. If it was as easy as changing a bolt out I don't think he'd have a problem. There is no way that the nut that goes on the top of the strut is the same size as the two huge bolts that attach the strut to the spindle.

Brent, put this in your pipe and smoke it. i even tried the same nut on some stockers Fred gave me. it looks to a 9/16"/14mm thread. i dont know the pitch though. i have a couple of extras, if you want me to drop them in the mail for you.

I know for a fact that the lower bolts in my struts are WAY larger than the top nut, so to each his own.

it does take a 15/16" socket on the nut to remove it.

I don't know the car isn't here to look at, but the diameter of the two bolts that go in the lower attachment point of the strut are much larger than the diameter of the top of the strut rod that goes through the caster camber plate.

well i found out that the lower strut bolts are the same size as the stud on top of the strut....but i still cant find a die to fit it....the bolt is 5/8 size but i cant figure out the pitch....ive tried all the dies that oreillys carries....
so my search continues
