Well I had court for a traffic and no seat belt ticket I got a couple months ago. Normally I would have taken Defensive Driving, but I wanted to fight the no seat belt ticket since i *was* wearing my seat belt.

Well, long story short, I paid $155 for a lawyer to only get me Deferred Adjudication on the speeding ticket. That cost me an additional $135 to the city (bastages!) and I can't get any moving violation convictions for the next 5 months.

I'm not really sure that the lawyer did me any good this time...:hmm:

I got deferred for an 'exhibition of acceleration of speed' (direct quote) for just showing up...

Sorry to hear that, Rusty, next time post before you go to court. I've got a lawyer that has gotten about 15 tickets dismissed for me and people I have referred. He usually charges about $125 and he gets your case called first so you're out in 15 minutes. I'll post his number in the next day or two.

Thanks, yeah, the lawyer I use used to be a prosecuter so he knows everybody in the court system, but now he works for the good guys:D I have his number at home.
