Without a doubt......the return line.

I say feed line......

2 votes for return
1 for main

anybody else? Nay? Tyro? Fed?

If it's on the return line (i.e. inbetween the regulator output and the tank), how would it ever build pressure?

hmmmm... :)

I'm with re95gts on this one.

(I honestly can't remember though - his answer just seems to make more sense)

Gotta go w/D on this one...

I always thought that the fuel lines feed the rails and with the regulator after the injectors it regulated how much backpressure was at the injector, this would technically mean that the regulator is on the "return" side of the fuel system.

EDIT

Damn I need another beer, I totally missread what Jason was asking. I thought he was talking about the regulator, the schradder valve is on the feed line going to the rails.

i think we can know the answer to this:

someone would have to be willing to disconnect their fuel line with the schrader valve at the fuel rail. then turn the key on, and see if fuel shoots out. might wanna place trhe open end in a empty gas can......ya know.....to be safe and shit.

But the Schrader valve is upstream of the regulator, way upstream, in the hardline from framerail to fuel rail...

If the Schrader was downstream of the regulator, all you would see is atmosperic or whatever little the gas cap creates (unless you pinch the return line, LOL!)...

Yup...and as engine load increased, the volume (and therefore pressure) of fuel in the return line would decrease. Definitely not a good place to tap in for a wet nitrous system fuel feed! :) But, we all know that can be done with success...

The fuel pressure going to the schradder valve has to be regulated but the regulator, no if and or butts. If it wasn't there is no way that a fuel pressure guage or a a feed line to nitrous solenoids could be plumbed in there and get constant pressure. It's been so long since I looked does the return line to the tank start at the regulator?

Yes, and hence the vacuum reference to 'artificially' increase pressure...

Eh?

True, screw it.....I have a solution....a PRO system holley 1050 dominator.

I thought there was one shrader valve on the accumulator and one on the liquid line.

Eh?
doesnt the vacuum decrease the pressure? when you pull the vacuum line off, the pressure rises.

...and five in the tires, if you have a spare...

...or in my case, eight on my house!

verdict is in...........

its on the feed line :fu:

I tested it on my car last night about 9:40pm. I disconnected my fuel line at my NOS t-fitting which is the line that the schrader valve is on. Ran a hose to a jug and turned on the fuel pump. Pumped fuel into the jug, no fuel out of the rails.
Its on the feed line!

I was thinking only about the regulator. Duh!
The valve is on the feed line.

It's a good thing you tested it before 10pm or your result may have been different! :trout:

Hey now, I tested it on Halloween after getting back from a night of trick or treating and church festivals for the kiddos, just for you guys to settle your arguments!

It's been removed, but was that the one with the college guy who said "C, final answer. No, wait!" and then had this "Oh shit, I just pissed away my college tuition" look on his face? It was just on the other day and I happened to be off and caught it. It was quite amusing. I was disappointed that the host didn't make fun of him. :stupid:
