Do you have a Plasma cutter. If so what are the power requirements. I have to redo the export brace on turdasaur and would like more artisic cuts on the shock tower braces than a saws-all will give. If you bring it to the house, I'll let you play with my TIG.

OoooHHH! A taunt like that and I may have to get you 'on the schedule', LOL! I've been meaning to get up there to get the front end, but my at-home workload has been out of sight (as Jimmy Walker would say...).

I can run the plasma on 110 or 220 (switchable); the 110 is limited to 15A (20A?), and the 220 will go to 29...

Nigel: This amp goes to eleven.
Interviewer: Didn't they just renumber the dial, and it has the same power as one that goes to ten?
Nigel: No. This amp goes to eleven, so it's one notch louder...

...my poor attempt at a humorous correlation...

Let me know when you might need it Ken. I'm off Fridays :D

I'm off this Friday also. Maybe we could get together and build an export brace. Need to check consumables and if I still have some rectangular tubing. You could also look at the 64 front end.
All I need to cut is 3/16 plate. How many amps do you need for that? What kind of plug is on it? My wife will probably hurt you if you bring over the cutter 'cause if it works like I think it does I'll probably buy one.

Will get in contact later this week

Ken,

The only thing on my agenda Friday is stripping the Suburban...LOL!

I'd run the thing on 29A, which requiures 220V. I use a 50A 220V receptacle, as that is what the old stick welder had on it when I got some years ago.

If you find you need some material, please let me know. I have some 1" x 2" x .120" wall (limited; about 2'), 1-1/2" x 2" x .120", 2" sq x .120", 1-1/4"(?) x 2-1/2" x .120", 1" sq x .120 and .083"(?), flat bar (mostly 1/8"/10ga stuff)...

Do you have any masonite and a jigsaw? If we can make a pattern, we can whittle a bunch of parts, LOL!

Chris

BTW Ken; you'll (we'll) need an air source, as I'm sure you're aware (and have...)

[I'll PM you my numbers...]
