While most marvelled at my lack of skill (seriously, I just act like I know what I'm doing...), I think they were more impressed with my garage decorating prowess.
The main topic of discussion, besides "Hey, where's the (insert tool name here)?" was, "Wow, what a good looking chair! And comfortable, too...".
Well, in honor of the first TD, I decided to raffle the chair off. I put everybodies initials in a cup, and had my unbiased three year old draw a name. Lo and behold Robert was the lucky winner!!! Congrats Robert, it's a honor and duty not bestowed on many!
However, to make this a bittersweet victory, the wife was curious why I called my son out to the garage at 10:00 with cup in hand. Once she discovered the shennigans we were up to (honestly, very little carb cleaner was involved to impair our judgement!), she put the kibosh on the whole ritual; I had it all planned, but got smote down...
The plan was to have a drawing at each TD for the chair; the lucky 'winner' got the honor of caring for it until they hosted a TD, where it would be raffled off again (a VERY good incentive to have a TD, I thought...). Too bad momma squelched the scheme. However, all is not lost! In lieu of the actual chair, I offer you this visual representantion. Although the 'plushness' cannot be conveyed in photos, the chair is available for private, on-site, one-on-one viewings, for a small fee...
Tag Robert, your it! Congratulations!
