I am gonna make an attempt to get my car back together before next weekend. Anyone up for meeting up at Lonestar Motorsports Park? I dont have too much to do to get it in and running. I gotta get some new front runners, but I think I can get those delivered before the weekend.

I planned on going there this past weekend but didn't make it. I might be able to make a trip out there then. I know Ben could use some seat time as well. :)

Good thing is its an IHRA track and I dont need a Liscence until 9.50, but I dont know how many full passes I will make. I will probably make a few 1/8 mile passes before I open it up. I have a feeling I am gonna need to step up to a 4.88 gear.

uhhh IHRA nd NHRA bothe say license at 9.99/6.49. Now IHRa doesn't require a chassis cert until 9.00/6.00

I dunno if I'll be able to make it by then, but if I have my front end aligned in time I'll head out for some TnT!

Ooops I guess I will have to keep eye on the times and make some shutdown passes. I guess I was thinking about the Chassis Certification.

Thanks

How strict is Sealy if I rip off a 9 second pass? I will defintely be foot braking it the first few passes. I can use the excuse the first few passes we dont know what its gonna run, but I will definately have my physical done when I come to pick up the car in December.

Oh I forgot to mention.......I may be running open headers. My mullfers will be sitting in FL and not sure how the xpipe is gonna fit with the heads being rolled over and if its gonna kick the headers out any. SO if you dont wanna hang out with the redneck running open exhuast I understand :)

I'll bet they won't be very picky...but nobody knows for sure right now since they've been closed down for about a year and are just now opening back up...under new ownership.

I dont think I will really sweat it. What are the odds it will go 9's the first time out. If it does I will happily leave :darkbeer:

Good luck. I'll be at HMP on 10/14 for the S&S Racing Index. They've got 7.00, 6.20, 5.80, and 5.00 indexes. All payout $800 to win! $60 entry fee.

Did you get the dyno results yet? Haven't seen them posted.

Guys, I may have take a rain check. I still need to get some new front runners and right now it doesnt look like its in the cards until later. I had to get a new distributor, so my bill at westside was a few extra $$$

Thanks

carl, i think they cancelled the 6.20 index.

Not to my knowledge. I had a buddy that raced in it at the last race. They were talking about making a 6.60 index, but only if they can get at least 16 cars to run in it.

FYI guys. I was out there this weekend. Gary is looking over cars he does not recognize. Not to the point of checking SFI numbers, just making sure you have what you need to be safe.

Saw him mention a missing ground wire on the fuel cell fill collar to one person, he let them run and told them to have it on next time they came.

BTW, if I can get a certain someone to answer a PM, I 'might' make a pass or two.
