No, but Fred and I were thinking of attending the event here in Baytown. :)

cool Ill be there too! I cant get enough of these 7 second Mustangs. It sucks that the Houston's Fun Ford event is always a poor turnout due to scheduling with the NMRA.

That calendar is great! Never clicked on that before.

Ah cool, I may come over for that gear install. Thats one of those things I have always wanted to learn how to do myself.

I will be there racing the footbrake brackets and helping out my friend Alex Ekrot who is racing the true 10.5 class and is currently in first place points.
Ben you said you wanted to know when we were running this car and I'm sure Alex would like your help.
This is going to be one of the best races this year.
Everyone should come out to this one. It really is not that far, about three hours down the road.

Billy Glidden is scheduled to race, along with other big name NMRA/FFW racers.

So between 12 and 4:30 is practice/time trials? Either way, I suppose it would be cool just to tool around in the pits and check out the cars.

ya lets meet up somewhere on I 10. How about Texas Borders? That way we can hit up that Kroger for some food items before we get on the road.

Anyone else that wants to go is welcome to ride with me. Chris is heading to Austin after the race but ill be heading back to Houston.

I'd like to race the True Street Class @ the HRP event Oct. 26. Anyone else gonna try?
Seems like alot more competitive than FFW TS. Heads Up Action!

Brian: I think with the new heart int he beast, you should have some fun in True Street, LOL! We should get a feel for the level of competition at RCR, and give you a couple of months to become mentally prepped. I won't participate, as my car's a turd :D! The only bad thing about the CotT at HRP is that is the same weekend as the Mustang-GN shootout in Noble, OK. It's a tough choice...

Chris

I was gonna try to make the Mustang-GN shootout, but I doubt I will have the cash. More then likely I will make the COTT at HRP. I will probably try one of the bracket classes though.

Does everyone want to carpool there? We can all split the fuel and I am sure the ride will go faster with all the hot air that will be spewing.:D

My truck will hold 5 comfortably as will Trevors. Right now Sean, Trevor and I are riding together.

Just a thought

Alright guys, count me in on the trip. Alan (nintylx) and Troy (TXBandit) are also heading out to COTT that morning. They will be on their own vehicle. I will see if they want to hook up and car poll out that way.

Everyone stop by and say hi. We will be pitted with the true 10.5 car's. If anyone wants to help with Alex's true 10.5 car, you are welcome to help out. We could use a little help between rounds. I am racing my car and will help him as much as I can but if I'm in line to race, he will be a one man show.
See ya at the races.

Cool Martin, we will definetly come by and say hi/lend a hand if need be. Alex as in jaclx? I know what his car looks like so we'll use it/him as a landmark , and assume you are the cpe parked next to him.

Not Jaclx. It is Alex Ekrot with the Black LX hatchback with full interior on the COTT home page. It is a badass car. I will be willing to help what I can Martin.

Can we park in the pits there?

Shane, Are you riding with us?

Thank's everyone. I don't believe you can park in the same area of the pits.
Freddy and Keith from the COTT said they will be parking the car's together by class. I got special permission to park beside Alex with the 10.5 car's because of the circumstances (crew chief duties :D ). They will probably have an area for spectator's to park. There will be a few beer's in the cooler for helping out.

I am about 90% sure at this time I am going and WOULD like to ride along if possible.

Martin, like Tracy and Trevor said, I too can help out with Alex's car between beers I mean rounds. :D

OK Shane, you can come, but promise to save me a few beers. :blue:
Hopefully I cant drink any until after the final round, if I can remember how to cut a light.

Shane, Alex lives real close to you and might be driving by himself. He is in the neighborhood by the Dodge dealership of off 249. I might be able to arrange a ride for you.

That would be sweet!!! Is he heading out Sat morning? If so, I could meet him at his place since I know exactly the neighborhood you are talking about. See if he needs a riding partner to keep him company and I will gladly jump in.

Trevor, Tracy, Chris...

I am meeting at Alex's house around 7:45 a.m. Sat morning and we are heading over to Martins after that. Martin thinks we should be around TX Borders around 9 a.m. and will probably swing through the parking lot to see if you guys are still there. Maybe we can get us a nice lil convoy headed west.

To tell you the truth there were very few Camaros or Chevys for that matter left at 10pm when we left out. It was like a Fun Ford event with a few wannabedrivingfords people out there. :fu:

We saw a very clean Chevelle modify his front-end on the wall halfway down the track at about 80mph :p
