I shipped a set of e7's in a box just bigger then the heads themselves. I just lined the machined surfaces with some paperboard. Smallest 93# box I have ever seen/built. :D

As far as I know, they made it from my home in MI to Rhode Island in one piece via United Package Smashers.......

Any automotive machine shop should have some extra head boxes that they will give you. Owens in Pearland gave me a pair of boxes.

I've shipped a lot of medium sized parts I sold on ebay. You might check to see what the shipping charge is on one box vs two. Somtimes it is cheaper to send it in two boxes at the same time, due to the extra overweight box charges. I sent a set of SN95 spindles, calipers rotors, etc completely assembled and it was cheaper to send them separately than in one real heavy box. Just weigh one, add a few pounds for packaging, then go to the www.ups.com website and calculate the shipping for two identical packages to the same address. One thing I did was cut a piece of scrap 3/8" plywood for the bottom of the box along with cushioning the parts so they wouldn't break a hole in the bottom.

Shoot, if I had some extra cash this payday to go to Six Flags again, I would just deliver them for you and use the postage money as gas money! :D

Last time I shipped some heavy parts in a carboard box via UPS the counter person checked the box's maximum weight rating stamp... I didn't even know there was such a thing! It seems most every box has a round stamp on it about the size of a silver dollar that states the weight the box was designed to hold. They wouldn't accept a box that exeeded it's weight limit. But then again, I was insuring it for $2k (supercharger) so they were scrutinizing it closely.
