yeah, i wouldnt replace your manifold with an aftermarket one, unless you get better flowing heads.
we would need to know the rest of your combo, to make a decision on what would be a good intake.

ive got ported (mild port) GT-40s (cast not alum.), E-cam, #24 injectors (stock on 94 cobras), hooker long tubes, and then just the normal bolt ons, ie. u/d pulleys, cai, smog pump delete, full exhaust, will be backed by a c6 w/ manual valve body and prolly 3500 stall. on nitto dr's and possibly a little evil juice on the way

I know you didn't ask this but that C6 is a big heavy trans that's going to eat a bunch of hp. A C4 would be a better choice and will not absorb as much power as the C6. A C4 is plenty strong for what you're doing.
I'd take the Trick Flow intake over the Cobra.

I don't think there is much difference between the TFS Street Heat intake and the Cobra intake performance wise. Both are designed with low rpm torque in mind and have similar power bands. If I had the choice between the 2, I would go with the Cobra just to maintain the stock look.

there are more mods coming with more money. its not gonna be driven daily or anything so im just gonna go all out with everything that i can with the money i have. ill keep a C4 in mind though if i run into one for a good price.

With the ported heads and cam I'd consider the Track Heat intake for more top end pull. You'll lose a little down low but with the right converter that won't be a biggie.

well...i got my cai in from summit today, aparently the pulleys i ordered are on back order but should be here in like 2 weeks. along with my stuff they sent me a new hat and on the receipt there was a 20 dollar limited time credit torwards anything in the catalog (aparently for anyone who orders anything soon) so i went ahead and used that on my track heat intake that should be here hopefully either friday or monday. so now all i really need before i start putting everything back together are my new mass air meter and my upper and lower control arms. also, it looks like ima be going with a c4 because a c6 wont work with my headers. my tranny guy said he could build me a c4 that would hold up for me but he was just more comfortable with putting a c6 behind anything 300+ hp/tq. just wanted to let you guys in on the 20 dollar summit credit and thank yall for your input so far. im sure ill be back for more. also, i dont know if there is a limit to how much you have to spend to get the 20 dollars (i spent like 150 on the shit that they gave it to me for). hope some of yall can take advantage of it though cause i think we all know when it comes to ordering parts, every little bit helps lol. thanks again guys

Obviously your tranny guy is very old school and a little out of touch with modern technology. Now days, properly built C4's can handle 700 +/- hp and push cars into the 8 sec 1/4's. C6's are rarely used now since C4's are lighter and rob less hp.

How do you get the summit discount...I'm placing a order in the next couple of weeks. Shane is right, a C6 is a slut, and is best left for people like Ken that run the HUGE motors.....heck a near stock C4 will handle the power that you plan on making. I ran a mostly stock C4 in my car and had about 450 to the wheels.

Brent,
I've gotten the credit/coupon in the past on a couple of occasions. I never found any rhyme or reason to it...just seemed random. In my case it was just a note on my receipt saying thanks for the purchase and here is a $20 credit to use before XX/XX/XXXX. Pretty cool if you ask me.

aparently there is a list of stuff on the first page of the mag. that tells you what parts you get "summit bucks" for and how many you get. i saw that today while i was lookin through. but the stuff i ordered wasnt on the list so i guess you just gotta hope whatever you buy earns you summit bucks.
and im from charleston S.C. not to terribly far from lexington. i went to highschool with a kid that was from lexington and he used to drive home to see his friends all the time so it cant be more than a few hours.

he is really old school on the stuff he likes but i wouldnt say hes out of touch with modern tech since he did just finish up on a buddy of mines super charged/nitrous acura CL tranny (tiptronic bullshit deal). hes really good but like you said he is kinda old school. ima go with the C4 though so thanks for the input guys. also...my friend with the acura, just picked up another nitrous kit for his car and said if i help him swap everything over at the shop i work at, he will GIVE me all of his old shit (two zex bottles and any lines and what not that we replace) and i have a friend thats a nitrous dealer so i figure it shouldnt be to hard to piece together a kit for my car for pretty cheap...evil juice here i come
