2nd motor pass of the day:
on the t-brake
.49 light
1.58 sixty
7.08 1/8
96.32 mph

First pass was a 7.10@96.1 with a 1.59 sixty no t-brake

I still can't get the car to hook on the transbrake, I think its time to play with pinion angle. This is nowhere near the best sixty foot, it has gone 1.54-1.55 on motor before with things all right.

Backed it up last pass of the night
7.09@95.4 mph with a 1.58 sixty

Nice times Carl.

You win a clobberthon yet?
Your forced to run for #6 now I guess per Joe G's rules.

How do you figure that? Joe has no idea what my car runs other than its just a touch too fast for #7 on the nitrous. But, that is covered with his .03 rule which I just lost to yesterday.
Me him
.54 .51 (I'm having a hard time on the tree since the track was changed)
6.94 6.93
94.5 95.4

I knew we were both on a break out pass, so I lifted at the top hoping to go slower than the .03 to break him out. I thought I had him covered at the tree, but evidentally not.

Pretty much all the guys that run in number 7 know that I'm doing my best to slow the car down to the spot as are most of them. I just can't be competitive in the #6 class. If I put in the 100 pills, I could run that number, but then I'm screwed when summer comes around and I can't drop back to 7.

What the hell is the .03 rule? He broke out worse then you did and you were only 1 mph slower then he was yet he won? Sounds to me like more of JG's stupid ass rules. Reminds me yet again why I don't run his events. Looks like I will be making HRP's index events this year.

Joe's rule to take the bracket racing out of the event. If both cars run within .03 of each other, the first one there wins! He would rather the cars go balls to the wall heads up than have someone lifting and sandbagging. I could have come around him on the top end, but like I said I thought I covered him at the tree, at the stripe I was at his door.

So by that rule, if you ran a perfect 7.00 and the other drive ran a 6.99 and got the the stripe first, he still won?

That is correct. He could go 6.970 vs your 7.000 and if he got there first he wins. Another screwy rule is the mph. If he goes 6.95 to your 7.00, but your mph is below 94 mph on that 7.00-7.05, then you lose because you're a sandbagger.

Lots of little rules you have to learn and figure out how to tune and drive around them. Something I still can't seem to do.

Thats fucked up. Its still "ish" racing. A index event where one car can break out and still win? Gimme a break.

Well, its not for everyone, but nowhere else on a month basis can I go race for $35 and have a chance at $300 or more to win with a field of cars between 8 and 15 or so. HMP is holding their own indexes now in the middle of the month and HRP is holding theirs, so I will be trying one of those on March 11th again. I really need to work on cutting the damn light though!

It's been said many times before, and is worth repeating: "F! Joe Golden!" I'm still PO'ed about the Bubba deal, LOL!
