PMS - More user friendly, powerful, pretty price tag.
TwEECer - More bang for the buck and more granular control, but more geared to somebody who's going to put for the effort to learn it.

Hey Ben, which one are you more familiar with? If I do get one, what are the chances that you could show me some pointers ?

I'm more familiar with the TwEECer.

Unfortunately my time is pretty limited. I do about 25% of the tuning I used to do since I'm traveling so much, and to spend time showing "how to tune your car with -insert product here-" isn't something that can be taught in an hour. The best I can suggest is to read read read. There's web sites for such things.

tweecer.oplnk.net
stangtuning.com

Those are a couple of places to start.

i have run the pms a couple of times. ben is right on with his description. the tweecer is more powerful , but the pms is much easier and you may only need what the pms offers. i have a gen II pms on my car if you want to check it out.

Since you have an SN95 I would go with the Tweecer personally. There are MANY areas that you need to deal with on their computers vs. a fox. None of which you can deal with through the PMS. Such things as the idle decay rate (the infamous hanging idle problem is cured through this) the high speed fuel adder, the complete timing table (to eliminate the dreaded ping problems most of these cars suffer from,) the horrible crank to start time, and other things. As far as a N/A tune, the basics are already there on the tweecer site, and I have a base tune that I use with the SN95's to cure all those problems then start making the needed corrections to "tune" the car.

Thanks for all the input, I do know that the 94-95 cars have always been a little more tempermental when changing H/C/I, I just wanted a tuner that would be best for these cars. I also plan on supercharging the car later. I do like the fact that the tweecer is cheaper, but I also want to make sure that spending that kind of money, either on the PMS or the tweecer, it will be the best one for the car and me.

The best for the car by a mile is the tweecer, if you are willing to READ and READ and READ then you will overcome the problem most people have with them and that is the lack of an instruction manual. The information is out there for it... you just need to keep searching for it.

One other note, one ADVANTAGE I feel the tweecer has over the PMS is the ability to shut certain items off. You can delete the egr, and other emissions items and keep the check engine light off. This way you know when it comes up there are only a hand full of sensors that can be causing this. Where as with the PMS it has no way to do this and you either have to keep everyting in place, or dummy the system some how.

If you decide to run a tweecer, I would be more than happy to share my base tune with you. I feel this is one area most people dont do enough with on the tweecer and share their actual tunes to allow others to compare their tune with. You might catch something you havent done that they have........
