Okay fellas, I stopped by Harbor Freight this morning and noticed they have their 2 ton foldable shop crane/engine hoist/cherry picker (whatever you choose to call it) on sale for $120! I talked to the manager and asked him if this was a one day only sale (since the sign said "Today's Mangers Special") and he told me they had received too many of them and he would keep the price low until there surplus went down.
So...for anybody who needs one this is the time. They are normally $259 and the cheapest I have ever seen them on sale is $179. Get em while there available. BTW only available at 290 and Jones Rd. store.

NoI didn't pick one up, I was in the 'vert. I'm heading back this afternoon to pick one up.
BTW here is a link to the one on the internet. Internet price is $249, but if my Calculus III class is serving me correctly...120 is still less than 249. :D

Is this the Harbor freight on 290?
edit: I see that is the only one listed so I guess that has to be it.

Or, Nay, you could buy one for me and shawn, since we're broke.
;).
I am really really glad that store was closed on Saturday when we stopped over there. I don't have money to be spending in that store (yes I do, no I don't, yes I do....).

i agree with rus, nay. i think it would be very generous of you to donate one cherry picker to each of us (rus and me, tha rest of you.... go get your own!!!:) )
who knows... maybe you could use it as a tax write off..... :D

Just got back with one:D They said they had got in 75 of them in the last 2 weeks. The manager said that was enough for the whole year.

Yep, got mine this afternoon. There was another guy in there buying one just as excited as I was.
I put mine together this afternoon. Man, there is nothing like a new toy. I think I'm gonna go out to the garage and lift stuff. :D

Hopefully they will still be that price on Friday which is the only day I will be able to get out there. A cherry picker is one of those things that I wanted to get in time but at 120 bucks, you cant go wrong!

I've been borrowing an engine hoist from a friend. I've had it so long now I could probably go to court and have it legally declared as mine!
I couldn't resist pulling out the plastic for this op though! $120 bux???!!
/me has his very own picker/hoist/lift/ thingy now
I had a few of Mr. Harbor's boys stuff both boxes in the back of the T'bird. I almost had to use the borrowed hoist to get the NEW one out of my trunk! The sumbitch is heavy!
I believe it was mentioned earlier that this one folds up into a fairly small foot print. The borrowed one takes up half my garage!
I love plastic. :D

Yes it is very heavy. Imagine having to unload it and a side by side refridgerator in one night by yourself.

Rick you must be getting old man. I loaded the fully assembled hoist into the back of the truck (4wd F250) this afternoon BY MYSELF. I knew I was getting stronger after I broke the shifter off in the LX. :D

Kyle, this was a great find/post! Definitely the kind of thing we had in mind when we made the "Latest and Greatest Deals" forum.
Maybe now that people see what kinda things belong there, we can get some more action going on in that forum!
Regards!

Well, I have another one for them in the "Latest Greatest Deals" Forum. Not quite a $120 hoist, but still a good deal. :D
