Ive never been a dodge fan but that car looks alot like the classic muscle its taking the name from, and you gotta love that. Hope it doesnt take to many changes if the put that into production.

I hope they don't do something stupid like offer it with a v6. Stick a Hemi in it!!! I'd love to see them at the track lining up against 05 Mustangs!

Ben I can tell you after being around my moms 300C with the HEMI....... the challenger will FLY!! Especially if they offer the 425hp version in the R/T models (current 300c/Chargers with the 425hp option are going 12.80's to 13.20's stock with the 5 speed AUTO.) If they keep the price down on the car to mustang levels, you will see a ton of them on the road.... and maybe even one in my driveway :D

I'm sure they'll do 'something' about those headlights, like center them horizontally in the grille.
Looks like they did a good job at retro (if it comes off the line looking like this).
It DEFINETLEY must have the "muscles" engine option - otherwise it's a sheep in wolf's cloathing.

About 5-6 years ago I told a friend that if the big three were to re-introduce the 60's muscles cars with today's technologies, they'd have a winner in their showrooms. Looks like I was on to something! If GM was to wisen up, they'd re-release the Camaro with a 60's body style and the new LS7...
As for the new Challenger, they need to fix the rear end. Looks 'dumb', but I sure love the pistol grip shifter. Put in the 426 hemi and some real meats on the back and I'll have one in my garage!

Actually, General Lee was a Commanding Officer in the Confederate Army. I know - he and I used to hang out.

Is a Commanding officer a different title from "General", or are they two-of-the same? Because I thought he was a captain in the US army when the war between US and Mexico took place in 1845. He was then a Colonel during the rebellion at Harper Ferry, and eventually was made a General by Jefferson Davis during the Civil War.

The term "Commanding officer" is not a designation of any particular rank. Its simply a term given to an officer of any rank who may be leaders of any particular unit, squadron, batallion, etc. This person could be anything from a 2nd Leutenant to a 4 star general.

I love that thing! Might be time to grow a Mullet, get some flannel cut-offs and learn the phrase "That thing gotta hemmeh????"
JMHO, and not based on anything resembling evidence... but my money is that Dodge will offer a V6 base model (just like the Magnum and 300), a 345hp Hemi and an SRT/8 vesrion. I'd expect V6 and base Hemi prices on-par with the current Mustang, and the SRT/8 adding a hefty premium.
My funds are tied up in this bitch I call an '89 GT, but if that ever gets "old" I can see either a new Mustang or one of these in my driveway.
