During my Christmas tree farm search, I found this site (http://www.hoover.archives.gov/exhibits/legends/index.html) about Christmas legends from the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library.

Covers everything from angels to stockings...the spiders and pickle stories were new to me. Purty interesting stuff.

I liked it. The twins won't give a hoot when I sprinkle Christmas trivia throughout our ornament stringing and cookie baking, but I think it's interesting to know how things got...the way that they are (or at least a viable explanation for it).
