Anyone have a sandblaster I can borrow? I'll give you $10 to borrow it. I have an air compressor. I am trying to sandblast a set of longtube headers and the local sandblast places want $50 and yah, i'm a PoMoFo lol.

I got one at walmart for less than $20.00 then spent $45 on media, face shield, and respirator. The only problem I had was my air tank wasn't big enough to drive it. I know a guy that has had success with this same setup with a larger compressor.

Walmart huh, I had no clue they carried them. I went to Lowe's and Sears and neither of them had one. Sears said sometimes they do but they were out of stock. Lowes had nothing, and Nation's rent had nada. I will try Wally World. What kind of media would be good for sandblasting headers? Thanks.

Harbor Freight has an el cheapo model (or 8). Jones @ 290. They also have the Aluminum Oxide media.

I picked up a sandblaster today for the incredible price of $12 lol. Now I just have to get some media, I have no clue what kind I need though, any idea? Is the Aluminum Oxide stuff what I need? I am glad to know we have a Harbor Freight in town, I never knew that :-)
