If you're running XP, you can download Image Resizer at http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/ImageResizerPowertoySetup.exe
Your MS Paint prog will do it (assuming you're using Microsoft) Use stretch/skew tab.
or IrfanView from http://www.irfanview.com/main_download_engl.htm
or upload them to a free image holder, www.photobucket.com and link to them.
If none of those work for you, try describing in text form what they look like. ;)

Everything looks awsome. I thought we were going to try and polish those valve covers. The number I have for you doesn't work. Call me, 713 240 4022. Mike.

I'm wanting to get some parts powdercoated for the motor I'm putting together. Who did you use?
Precision Powdercoating, same one Fred used. Yeah I was but I got to thinking about how hard it would be to keep clean, so decided to go Silver and accent the rest of the motor with billet pieces from various venders.
We'll see how it tunrs out.

Hey Nick, nice looking car and parts you have going there. Quick Question. Are you the ghost flame GT with the cobra motor swap that used to frequent the starbucks parking lot, well behind starbucks back in the day by 249 and 1960? If so then I think we raced a few times back in the day. We used to bring out a little red coupe and race the T/A and Camaro guys back in the day, this was some 3 or 4 years ago though. Anyway, just curious.

I think I remember this. You guys wouldn't tell me what motor was in there, and I had just gotten back from the track right? If so then I remember, if not I need more details about it.

Yah, we never told anyone what was in their, we always BSed :fu: Just teasing bro. Did you used to run nitrous too? If you did I think we actually may have raced on the feeder of 249. You told us nothing about Nitrous and we raced you and all was well, then we raced you again and the car got faster and some flames came out of the pipes lol. I think it was your car. Either way I remember talking to you a few times. I miss the good ol days damn.

Yah, that's right because you did the burnout first in the parking lot haha. Those sure were some good times. How is it these days, is there still a street scene over that way or has it all dried up?

That would be me. I used to race out there all the time. Houston Performance, Self, Chasewood Bank, the Railroad Tracks, the Church, Lowes. That area was littered with spots to race at, damn the man for ruinin it.
:litebeer: you daaaaaaamn right son!
So build you another and lets do it again!!!! :racing:

Aww, you sold the red car, it was quick back in the day. I say yes, build you another!!! Is there any race spots over there anymore or did they all get cracked down on?
quik96
11-27-2005, 07:23 PM
Theres still quite a few spots. I just finished buildin my last car. An 89 Coupe with a Cammed Sprayed LS1 under the hood. It went 8's, in the parkin lot.... :crying:
Then after the smoke cleared, it was totalled.
But yes, I will be back, without a doubt.

I T-Boned a car at 45-60MPH, the throttle stuck, and my brakes merely locked up the front pro stars....
I dont have any new plans as of yet..
Right now, the only time we meet up really is on Tuesday nights, at the old Starbucks. Kinda just hanging out and stuff, no real street racing happens at the time.

Damn, well glad you are ok. Sorry that happened to you man. The old starbucks huh, the one on 1960 and 249 where we used to go? What kind of turnout do yall usually have on Tuesday? I might make a trip.

Street Racing USED to be awesome!
Now, it just sucks.
And no, my car rolled NOWHERE after 5K.
You could get on Houstonperformancedriving.com they organize quite a few gatherings, maybe not the "street" racing your looking for, but definetly some good people and fun times. Hopefully soon my car will be done and I can start taking it out.

Yah street racing used to be wonderful here in Houston. We made it relatively safe, and it was just a good time, until the idiots showed up, and then the idiots started bringing guns, and fighting etc etc. So its not so awesome anymore, but I assure you, it used to be great here. And when we say street, we don't mean in the middle of the street with all the traffic, it was an isolated area with no traffic. Either way, this is days gone by, not the present.

Alright, well I went out to Starbucks tonight, and there was a good turnout. There were quite a few cars out there. About 10 4.6 mustangs, 5 or so 5.0's, a bunch of LS1s, a couple vettes, a modified new cadillac, and an old falcon on the juice that ran really strong. There were a few races tonight too believe it or not. Did either of you come out there? I did not see the ghost flame car, so I'm guessing Nick wasn't there.

That old POS Falcon is a turd, and blows alot of smoke. I was there. I tried gettin a race with him, in my wife's 03GT, well, he was too punk to take the dope off and run it on motor, I probably would of lost, but I was willing to gamble. The new Caddy belongs to Chuck, owner of Horsepower Engineering.
You might of seen/heard me. I was the guy getting rowdy about not having dope on my car, and made sure that everyone knew it. lol
No my car is still down, probably won't be running again till Jan.
Tuesdays are a bad day for me anyway, I work from 9a-10p that day.

LOL, yah I was out there till 12 as well. The falcon is POS, and the driver isn't too bright either, but on the juice it runs descent. I'm sure I saw you there but I saw so many people and the only one I knew was trip, so who knows. I have an '02 mineral grey GT with Cobra rims, but then again there were 3 mineral grey gt's with cobra rims last night. Mine was the extremely loud one though, and I was alone. I have the SLP exhaust to make sure everyone stays awake as it gets late :-)
We'ew out there till 12-later.....pansyman!
:fu: Any other day but a tuesday, not after working 13 hours.
