I have a 90mm Lightning meter, how hard would it be to use it on my 95. I have heard of people using it on earlier cars like mine. Is it worth the trouble of buying the the connector and splicing it into my old MAF plug, or would I be better off buying a meter for my year car?

I believe if you run the meter you also have to get your tune done with the mass air transfer function of that meter. It probably wont run correctly if you dont have that done. If you have a way to do this, then its well worth the trouble doing so.

I plan on getting it tuned...just wondering if it would be better to get a meter for "94-95" cars or just use the Lightning one ???

I would run the L meter personally.....

Only think I don't like about a 90mm LMAF is it's calibration goes out to something like 1700KG/Hr. A 300 RWHP mustang is luck to pull down 900 KG/HR. That means you are only use half of the meters resolution.

An 80mm MAF off a new GT or Cobra tops out at 1200 KG/HR and you can pick them up for $20

A Pro-m 77mm albeit "smaller" can still flow more CFM than a LMAF 90mm. With it calibrated for the proper injectors, it should be a better meter than the LMAF.
