Which bolts need sealer? Which ones are wet so I know to paint them with neverseize.

The 5.0 convertible is getting put back on the road. Maybe I'll even get an inspection sticker before it goes three years in March.

As flimsy as those bolts are, I'd use it on all of the bolts. I cannot tell ya offhand exactly which ones are wet.

If I understand the question Correctly its the longest ones that go all the way through the pump/timing chain Cover and into the block..4 of them I think! Use Anti Seize on all of them after you wire Brush them off Good!

Ford really screwed the pooch with that method of attaching the water pump (5/16" thread on a 36" long bolt prone to corrode? ).

I had two bolts break off flush with the block on that short block I got for the gray coupe. 'Was able to helicoil one. I wound up putting a 5-gallon bucket of sealant between the wp and block. Worked okay - the last time I saw it anyway. http://home.houston.rr.com/rixpix/outtahere.gif
