Here I am after work. Went to the storage lot, put out the genset turned on the AC and I start to change the R&R the carbs in the Mustang from the existing 390's to a pair of 450's. The airfilter is bent. Look at the left motor mount. Looks good. Get the floor jack out of the back of the truck, put it on the left side of the pan. Mount OK. Look at the passenger side and my headers are beat-up and the passenger side mount is shot. Looks like I'm not going racing on Friday night as planned and have to run the 390's for one more car club bash.

Dang Ken, that sucks! Any chance of getting both done? Mount shouldn't 30 minutes?

Mount shouldn't take long except I want to fab-up some kind of compression limiter so it doesn't happen again. I can just imagine losing the tailshaft of my toploader to a broken mount. The carb swap will have to wait since I won't have time to tune prior to racing. I also have to mill the base of my aircleaner since it's hitting the fuel needle and seat assbly.
On the other hand, I bet the car has at least 200 passes on it since I built the motor and this is the first problem other than the bent driveshaft from showing off.

I saw my launch picture at FFW Ennis and decided I could get an air shot. I launched at 6K and twisted the tranny output yoke and bent my stock driveshaft.
