Pomofo's make it to the track

Well 2 well known garage queens finally made it to the 1/8 mile at HMP.

Joe and Fred had a nice outting with flawless maiden voyages. There was even a Pomofo grudge match, I won't comment on the victor :fu:

Fwiw, car wasn't as fast as blue car, but I also had my "street" exhaust on it (2.5" H with dynomax super turbo mufflers) and come to find out, I only had 6-7lb boost. The blue car had 10lb. I think with those two changes (put my 3" exh back on and find my missing boost), it'll run what the old car did, if not better. THEN I can start improving.

To echo Joe... I proclaim the MT DR the best tire ever. LOL. I was tbraking from 4k and they didn't miss a beat. Never once did they spin all night except my first run, which had 30psi in the tires, haha.

Also, BIG thanks to Spence Hart on helping me setup the suspension. As you can ask the guys who were out there, the car drove so well and launched so flawlessly, it was almost BORING to watch it b/c it was so uneventful, hehe. It pretty much drove itself down the track with me just hangin on shifting the gears! hehehehe...

I'm going to try to make HRP this coming Sunday if they are having TNT. If the car can make the 1/4 mi without running out of gear, then I'll go providing I can borrow a trailer and get a way to tow the car up there. If not, no biggie, there's always the COTT. If the car runs out of gear in the 1/4, I won't have the money to swap gears AND make the trip up to Ennis, so we'll see.

Anyone want to lend me a car trailer and something to tow it with for the weekend if I pay gas? hehe.

I think the missing boost issue has been solved. The o-ring in the bypass valve had come loose, lodging between the poppet and the seat, not allowing it to fully close. I've removed it and hope to "check the boost" on Wednesday evening.

If all is well, HRP is a go on Sunday.

the o ring problem must be a trend. that would explain why i can't get more than 10 psi. let me know how to fix it.

Well..I'd like too But My truck would probably strain getting it there..

#3 Sun. Morning my dumb self took of Down the Road towards town too take it for a spin and didn't have the hood pins in! You know what happened there!

I really think My Car is Leaning out on the Top End! If I can Keep it from Falling on its Face all the Way through the Car should make a Record Breaking time for Factory Stock 302 w/E7's...I'm just 2 Tenths off From Doing it! :thumb:
