Belt and Tensioner questoin

Whats the danger of having a belt that's too short for the tensioner and causes the 'mark' to fall outside the other two 'marks'?

If it's just barely outside of the marks, and your belt is NEW, I would say it's ok, b/c after a few days, the belt will stretch some and will then probably line up with the first "mark".
