Yeah...it's gonna need some tuning, but I'm still surprised how well it ran with the factory EEC...
I guess no news is good news...:)

LOL
Man i have been busy moving out of the apartment. I finally got everything done. I didn't get to trade for a tremmec So i had to settle for less buti really don't plan on making alot of power any time soon so what i got will do. Here's what i traded for!
I got a T-5 z ""not a z spec "" this one is suppose to be better.
Also i got a brand new 900 series ram dual fricton clutch that i will have to settle with know cause i have no money to buy a spec.
A ford motorsport billet steel fly wheel . """nice
;) ;) .
A steeda Quadrant double hook> Also very nice.
Adjustable cable, MAc short throw shifter. it was a pretty even deal . The guy told me that he had this buikt by D&D to handle a 700 hp car.:hmm:
It has a 2.95 first gear. It goes into gear really good, the playon input and output shaft seem really tight.I hope everything goes good.
Can u please give me the Torque specs for flywheel and clutch . i will:D it.
get back at u in next reply.
O yeah i forgot. This tranny has the 94-95 bell and fork , i was wondering about the little clip that keep the cable to the bell . I can;t remember if u said it did;t have one or what let me know.
take care!

Well....how about Whitney's car??? HAHA
Explain to me how a T-5Z is "not a z-spec"? If it's got the 2.95 first and the caged bearing on the nose of the mainshaft...she's a Z-spec!
I don't really see how D&D made a T-5 handle 700HP either...
Torque specs on the flywheel are 75-85 ft/lbs and the clutch is 24 ft/lbs (tighten the PP down evenly - either use a "star" pattern or go around in a circle tightening each one 1/2-turn until all are torqued)
It has a 94+ BH and fork? That won't work with a T-5z. Even if it would, it would put the shifter back 5/8" from where it should be. You'd probably have to carve out the shifter hole in the floor pan to keep it from hitting in 2/4/R
Where did you get this stuff from?

The guys screen name at dfwstangs was fatboy racing.
He told me that he had it in his 92 gt and it worked fine.
I really have to get my car goning so i am gonna try it an see.
thanks for the torque specs.i will let u know the results.
Also u remember i had already cut the shifter area out for c4. so it probably won't be a problem. Other than that should i worry about any other problems. like with fork and throw out bearing.

Well...you cut out the front part of the shfter hole, not the back...
A SN-95 bell is too deep to work with a standard (Fox) length input shaft.

No offense, but you're trading a built c4 for a T5??? Regardless of WHAT is done to that t5, there's no way it can handle the HP the c4 can. That guy is bending you over on that deal, if you're getting no cash in with the t5, especially considering you dont even have the right bell.
If it was ME, I'd keep the c4 till you can either SELL IT or run across a TREMEC that you can trade for.

It sounds like it's a done deal already, but I gotta agree Michael. If you could make a T-5 handle 700 HP, then why would anyone upgrade to a Tremec? And if that guy ran that tranny and that BH together, it's a long input-shaft tranny. That basically means it's a stock SN-95 tranny... Sounds like Fatass Racing needs a phone call.....
What are the numbers on the tag? If you want, wait till I get home and we'll open her up

I finly talked to him again
This is a 95 model t 5
It ws sent to d&d and the put the 2.95 first gear
in it and basicly turned it to a z spec.
IHe told me that as long as the bell is from 95 ""causethe tranny is.""that it will work. SO i a gonna tryit.I really have no choice.
i needmy car. when r u gonna be back talk tou later.

So, it's not made for 700 HP... That guy deserves an ass kicking for lying to you... He sounds like a piece of shit to me.
If the BH is for a 95 and the input is also, then it will work fine except that the tranny will be 5/8" further back (not necessarily a bad thing for us short folks..haha)
The 2.95 first will help out in terms of reducing the 1-2 rpm drop. If you gear the rear end right and up the ante on the camshaft, you'll be following the plans I had for the car when I sold it to ya... As a matter of fact, the cam I was going to run was the TFS #2, but it wasn't going to be installed straight up... And guess what I have sitting in my garage that will be going up for sale when I get back? :)
Of course, that is assuming that it really is a 2.95 tranny and at this point, I wouldn't trust him as far as you could throw him... Put the tranny in first gear and turn the input shaft and watch the output shaft. You should be able to turn the input shaft roughly 3 times exactly to make the output turn one time exactly (mark them with a crayon or something). If you have to turn the input 3.35 times to get one complete turn on the output, it's a factory SN-95 tranny and is nothing special whatsoever...
We're in Denver now and leave for Wyoming in the morning. We'll be there till probably Tuesday, back to Colorado Springs for about 4-5 days and then home! Should be back somewhere beween the 9th and 11th
