Houston Area: CCB Time again.....

Once again, it's time for the Car Club Bash (CCB) at Sealy's Lonestar Raceway (http://www.lonestarraceway.com).

The date you ask? August 3rd (next Saturday).

The time? Gates open at 5pm, elims start at 6:30-7pm.

The price for entry? $15 to race, $10 to spectate

What the hell is it? It's a bracket racing event pitting the Houston Area car clubs against each other with points awarded for each win. All this is done in hopes of being points champion at the end of the season. We are currently in 6th place, trailing the 5th place team by 32 points. Hopefully we can overtake that position this next event!

Who's gonna be there? That's unknown. YOU, the PoMoFo, inform us here on this post if you plan on making it out! We usually have 4-8 cars running, and even more show up just to hang out and BS. You dont HAVE to run in the event to get together with us and have a good time.

Additional Incentives? I will have the tshirts that were ordered available for distribution at the CCB! If you ordered/paid for your shirts, what better reason to hit the CCB than to get them! Wear the same kind of shirt featured in the Sept 2002 issue of Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords! ;)

Well, I wound up going tonight, there was'nt many peeps there. Kinda dissapointed as I didn't see anyone from PoMoFo, that I know of anyway. We were at the finish line parked by the HALO guys. A guy from HALO won the SS rounds. It was his first trophy. I didn't catch his name, but was talking with them and a good time was had by all. Those lightning guys are fast. Anywho, Iwon't be there saturday, so good luck to all the PoMoFo entries. Halo guys say they are in 1st. I think Houston F-bodys are in 3rd. Hopefully I'll get the t-bird running soon and we can get some points for PoMoFo. Where does PoMoFo place in the points? Later KMD (kevin)

I beleieve we are in 6th place about 30 points away from 5th. Not too bad considering we usually only have half a dozen cars running for us. The more cars we have the more possible points we can get so EVERYONE come on out. This is begining racing at its best and a great chance to learn, and you don't have to have a fast car to race.

I hope to see everyone there this afternoon and meet some new people.
