This was a good weekend. Friday on my day off I made arrangements for work to be done at the blown-up location next week. We have two things to do and don't want the contractors to know what the other is doing - looks like it's sorted and I may even be able to take Thursday off.
Helicoiled the bowl screws and finished rebuilding a 600 cfm Holley for Showasaur. This is an original 1966 Ford lettered Holley, that is the reason I went to the trouble. Also helicoiled the center cap holes in my Torq-Thrusts. Twenty helicoils makes for a sore wrist. Still need to fix rear main, a/c, exhaust donut, and a couple other things.
Went to the swapmeet and did good, Wika oil-filled vacuum gauge and 0-200psi gauge and real nice Norgeren regulator for $30. Rigid 1-3" pipe cutter and imperial 1/4 tube bender $45 and a neat skinny lightweight wheelchair $25.
Dad got to come home on a day pass for both days this weekend. First time he has been home since the stroke 2 weeks ago. He comes home permanently on Tuesday. Still need to make Mom's house handicap accessible. It's going to be real tough for Mom to care for him. She is 75 and her orthopedic file is the size of the Houston Yellow Pages - both volumes
