First off, hidy to all, and long time no post. :o
Been busy working and doing stuff around the home here, hope everyone is well.
Finally scraped up the $$ to do my first bolt on mod to the 99Z. Ordered a GMMG cat-back. Should be here middle of next week. Also ordered some KYB AGX's some new speakers to get rid of the POS Monsoon one's, and desperatly trying to come up with the $$ to rebuild the front end with the PST polygraphite kit.
The only bummer is I'm spending @ $1,200 or so(%#$^%$ cat back is $700), and it wont be much faster (if any) but the sound is so sweet...had do do some basic stuff also, belts, hoses, etc..
I'm really hoping to get about 10rwhp/tq from the cat-back. After its on, gonna head up to HPE and see what happens. Previous best was 283rwhp/297rwtq, bone stock, 104,000 miles

Well, Rick, here's an update... The GMMG cat back was back-ordered 'till this week. It's supposed to ship out Wed/Thurs. Decided against the KYB AGX for now, looking for some good regular shocks on e-bay, etc. Speakers are in, but not installed. I have to rewire them due to the Monsoon system being "2" seperate speakers in one hole ( doors). Couldn't get the car in the garage this weekend due to the fact that my truck was in there hiding a load of new sheetrock from all this #$%# rain. Next weekend I have to install said sheetrock, so won't be able to work on car then either, BUT, I have next week off to finish up inside then work on the car.
Later!

Yee-hah!!! Got here today. Took the factory cat back loose. Waiting on my wife to get back with the sawz-all so I can cut the over-axle pipe. Just for sh@#s and giggles, fired it up with-out the cat back. Nieghbors are pleased! :-) I got wood!
More later. I'll post a pic or two after done.

Reminder to self.... NEVER, BUT NEVER send the wife to wally world for anything!!! After about 20 mins of uninstall on the factory cat back, and waiting 2hrs for my wife to come home, 30 minutes later, gotta brand new sound! Drove about 50-60 miles after install. LOVE that sound. Gonna go to HPE soon and see what if any difference cat-back makes on a stock 99 Z28.
Pics are here, on third page. sorry, but I'm on dail-up and unpload/download speeds stink!

Thanks! My wife is laughing at me 'cause all day I've been going outside and starting the car just to hear it. The newness will wear off, but meanwhile I'm grinning ear-to-ear!

Hahah! Yeah, I know what you mean. Anyway you can capture a sound clip and post it?

No, not really. I don't have a digital camcorder, just camera. You could go to

www.ls1sounds.com

Look for one with an otherwise stock vehicle in the GMMG section (Click on GMMG) Sorry but that's the best I can do.
