I want to put together a portable nitrogen tire filling rig. Something simlar to what Ben has. Where can I get the following things preferably used/cheap?
20cf bottle for inert gases
regualtor with about 80psi delivery for said bottle
"air" hose that will work with above regulartor and standard air tools.

Email Charlie Daubitz and ask if he's got another used setup. He always seems to have one spare each time I see him. That's who Ben got his setup from.

OK, dumb question time... nitrogen tire filling rig? You fill tires w/ nitrogen? I don't get it.

I tried helium but my tires kept floating away in the garage.
Since Nitrogen is a dry gas, the lack of water vapor allows a more stable tire pressure over a range of tempatures. Also, because of the molecular bond of a nitrogen molecule, it actually bigger than an Air molecule and thus leaks out slower.

Chad,
It's a pretty cool setup that I bought from Charlie/Jyro. It's a 10# nitrogen bottle with a regulator and a tire chuck in it. Instead of using one of those air tanks like you see people using at the race track I use this thing. The reason it, a nitrogen bottle will last me almost a full season, where the regular air tank you have to fill up after just about every race. It lasts a LOT longer since the bottle is filled with liquid nitrogen, and to refill it cost me a whopping $14 after tax.

And you won't get nearly the pressure difference when sitting out in the sun vs shade as you do with basic air. Consistency.

Formula and Indy have been using it for years, Chadrique...
