Mrs. Bingham,
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
I know we agreed to not get each other anything for this “holiday that should occur every day of the year”, so I didn’t get you anything. Not even a card!
However, I did take the time (while at work even!) to come up with this poem of sorts. I’m not a poet by any stretch of the imagination, but I’ll try the best I can to convey my feelings (while trying to rhyme!) ;)
MI AMOR PARA USTED
Ever since I met you, you’ve been the best thing in my life.
Even before the great day you became my wife,
You are the most unselfish person I have ever known.
Since I’ve met you, as a person I’ve definitely grown.
You always seem to bring sunshine to my overcast days.
You always find a way to make me laugh in your own special ways.
I know I might not always do as much as you’d like,
Like keep the house clean or go with you to ride a bike.
But, as you know, I always tell you how much I love you,
Even if I don’t always show it in the ways you’d like me to.
If I ever lose you, I don’t know how I’ll go on,
It would always feel like a part of my heart is gone.
So please remember, the following will forever be true,
More than anyone else in the world, I will always love you.
