I am looking to buy a new radiator here in the next couple days. I was going to order one from summit, but the one I wanted did'nt have the automatic transmission line hookups. So as usual I need a little more help. I would like a good radiator that I could run during the great Houston summers and actually use the AC that works in my car. I am looking to order one either today or tomorrow. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Pepboys used to have a great (for the price) 3 row radiator for only $99. I have the very one in my car. I hear they have gone up in price now. But, you might want to call them up and check. Make sure to ask for the "Maximum Cooling" model.

Yeah. The PepBoys "maximum cooling" model for your car will PROBABLY the cheapest 3core radiator you can find that will accept the auto. trans cooler lines.

Fred, just for future reference what is the best fitting aluminum one that you have found and what was the price? Last I checked the Pep Boys special could also be had at autozone and was around $140 if I remember correctly.

I use the griffin circle track "universal ford" one. 27" long I think it was. It was $189 and it fit the better than Cristina's AFCO. I had to trim her core support to get hers to fit.

Jason,

I have the same 3 core cheapie in my car. Been working fine for about 3 years. When checking around, call Oreilly's and see about the max cooling one with the Westside Mustangs discount. I know the Jersey Village store (#465 7314 SENATE JERSEY VILLAGE ,TX 77040(713)460-5626 ) has the account in their computer. Some things are like a couple of bucks off, but others are like 25-30% off.

Brent,

I had a Fluidyne in my car. It fit perfect. Of course it was pretty pricey. I think I paid around $350 back in '99.

Last year it got a crack in the passenger end tank weld. I still need to get it fixed. Not sure what I'll do with it though.

I've heard horor stories about Fluidyne radiators from exactly what you mentioned Kyle. I won't buy one because of that.

Fluidyne is the best fitting aluminum for SN95 cars - Direct drop in. I had one in my car, but it somehow has developed a ton of little leaks at the welds. Not sure if that's my fault for not a good mix of antifreeze or what. I had an RMA for it, but forgot to send it in. That was over a year ago...wonder if they'll still warrant it :).
