Man offers his severed Hand to Deity as Penance
A man in southern India has chopped off his hand with an axe and offered it to a Hindu deity as penance after having a dream where a Hindu goddess asked him to prove that he was sorry for beating up his wife after an argument they had over his matted hair which he refused to cut.
To prove he was sorry he chopped the hand off that he beat her up with.
Evidently it was the hand's fault.
Along with the hand he also offered sticks, bananas, and milk to the God.
Explaining his action later, Narasimhaiah said: "Recently I had a dream in which the god appeared and told me that she was disappointed with the way I had conducted my life so far. She asked me to do something to show that I was sorry for my actions. That's when I thought of giving up the hand. I am now very happy."
If I even suspect for a second that God is implying that maybe I should consider cutting my hand off I am looking for a second opinion.

Clinically Dead Boy Wakes Up in Morgue Hours Later
Doctors at Santiago's Padre Hurtado Hospital declared a 14-year-old boy dead after he accidentally strangled himself during a game.
Hospital director Dr Ernesto Behnke said "His heart had stopped and he didn't respond to cardiac massage, medication or resuscitation techniques. The PH of his blood was 6.7, which is incompatible with life."
So why is it that a few hours later in the mortuary the workers started hearing strange noises coming from under his sheet which I am sure if you talk to someone that works in a morgue strange noises coming out of a corpse isn't all that uncommon.
However it sitting up and mumbling words should be.
They are lucky they didn't walk down in the morgue and find a few more corpses down there from heart attacks.
Dr Behnke claims there was no mistake and Luis Alfredo Pinilla had been clinically dead.
The Chilean family of the boy believes he was dead too, attributing his resurrection to their prayers to the Virgin of Lourdes.
They said the Virgin spared the boys life because he wants to be a priest when he grows up.
Nah, Catholicism isn't pagan. Where would you ever get that idea?
Although this is a nice story and all, it isn't clear how a kid whose brain might have been without oxygen for several hours will be able to even hold his head up without assistance less known become a priest.
