T5 Stuck in 4th Gear...

What causes this guys? Today driving down 290 I shifted into 4th and then tried to shift into 5th and the sucker wouldn't go. Luckily I made it home without stalling. The clutch "seems" fine. I got home and fiddled with it in the driveway and I couldn't even force it out of gear. ????

Wow, it sounds like you need to head south, my friend :D

Seriously, either you broke the fingers off of the shift fork, or the synchro inserts have become jammed up, not allowing the synchro 'ring' to return to it's normal postion. Will the shifter move, or is it stuck too?

When you broke the handle, what gear were you going into?

(BTW, I have my spare tranny back :D)

Damn Nay...I think you should open your own T5 rebuild and supply business. We certainly are giving you enough broken trannys. :p
