I agree. $1k is damned steep. But the item itself is bad to the bone for a DIY'er like us PoMoFo'ins.

Here! Here! I concur!
Maybe we ought to build us a few? Eh?
Nay, er, O!

Seems like they didn't use to be that high... I did some looking at them a couple of years ago and they were in the 799 range if I recall... Gotta love supply and demand...

Don't forget the ever skyrocketing price of steel. Between wood, steel and gas I'm not going to be able to build anything...not that I could really afford to go and haul it to my house.
I'm not bitter though. I love paying $2.04/gallon for diesel and thinking I am getting a heck of a deal. :eeek:

wooo hoo! that is cool Nay! I'd be interested in helping <strike>build</strike> drink beer! My wife would probably kill me though. I'd definitely be able to get/use it if it were disassemble-able like the kwiklift.

I dunno guys, the height, albeit fairly high, looks like it'd be 'ergonomically' uncomfortable. Could you reach tranny or exhaust bolts easily while laying on a creeper underneath it (I love laying down on the job)? I wouldn't wanna walk around like a duck taking a dump all day under there either.
Opinion reserved.

Rick, I think it's better like that than lying on the ground under the car. I don't know about you, but I can't fit under my car without it being on jackstands at least.

I guess I was thinking that for the price, it should be more versatile - maybe not though.
Possibly.

I agree with Rick. I have worked off alignment lifts and it always seems like on any job you do at least once the ramps get in the way of the work and you have to figure out a work around.

I'd love to have one and once I have my car done and a truck to pull it with, I will probably get one. Setting up a car's suspension, removing exhaust, changing oil and trans fluid, etc will all be easier with it. Plus, with it in the garage, it adds more room to store stuff underneath it.
I really want one and will have one eventually. Working around the "feet" of it is no different than working around jackstands that hold a car up.
