Jeez it took me long enough and I FINALLY had a decent outing at the track and ran that magical number. First pass I ran the car cold with the fan off, did a nice 2nd gear burnout and stage the car. It launched hard and responded with 1.53 60' I hit second and then third and I knew if that wasn't a 10 second pass I don't know what is....hit the brakes and look over at the gauges...have oil pressure (which is a good thing) and pull up to the ticket booth. The lady hands me the slip and and I start yelling...10.76@ 124 :woot: So the car finally did it! It ran another 6.82 in the 1/8th at 100mph also. I put the car on the scale and I guess the last time at the track the scale was way off. The car weighed 2965 with me in it, 1/2 tank of gas and a full 15 pound nitrous bottle!

I waited around for a while and made another pass at about 8:00. The bottle pressure was a bit low so I put the heater on for a bit to get it up while I push the car through the lanes...sure enough, I get in the car and strapped in and it won't start. I pull it over and get a jump, and get back in the rear of the staging lanes and just let the car idle with the fan on. It takes about 15 minutes to pull up to the line again and by now the car is about 175 or do with the fan running the entire time. I pull up and was suprised how well it ran when hot. 1.50 60' 6.85 99.5 10.82 122.8

At this point I was happy with the tune to say the least and with the battery being drained I decided to call it a night. So I pull back in the pits to load the car and some dude has parked is brand new Ford Harley Davidson truck right behind my trailer! :nono: I can't kill the car because of the battery issue and I sure as hell don't want to push my car on the trailer! So I write down the plate number and tell the starter who announces it on the PA and about 15 minutes later the dude shows up to move the truck...of course by now I'm pissed so we exchange a few words. I load up the car and head to the house.

I'm still on cloud nine, I'm not touching the car till Ennis. With a little luck I'll be in the top 10 again this year and have a 10 second average! :thumb:

Time to drink a little beer this weekend and celebrate...

Congrats brent, Got a good pic of the car launching on your first run and some of the "official POMOFO" screwdriver.

Our car had it's best pass of the night with an 11.61@117 with a 1.645 60ft.
After the camaro slattered for the second time we called it quits!

Congrats dude, I knew it was coming! Battery ran down with the damn bottle heater, mine does it too. It takes a long time to heat up that 15 lb bottle, thats why I usually run the car for a while, while the heater is going, get it up around 1000-1100 then shut it all off to cool the engine down.
