Well my speedo hadn't been working for a while, and I finally had time today to dig in and find the problem. To make a long story short I took out the instrument cluster and the cable out of the tranny. When I spun the speedo gear (tranny end) the other end didnt spin. Obviously the cable snapped some where inside. I have been around fox bodies and this is the first I've heard of a broken speedo cable...heard of chewed up speedo gears but not the actual cable. Then again, maybe I should open my ears more! BTW it was like this before the incon install so I doesnt have anthing to do with the extra heat generated by the turbos.
Anyone have a spare speedo cable lying around? :o
