Definitely awesome weather to be racing in. How was the track?


The weather was indeed awsome and the track was hooking with the best of them. To give you an idea as to how good the weather was....I usually run mid/high 8.5's in the winter and in good air. The past few months in the summer heat and humidity I have been running high 8.6's/low 8.7's. Today, even though it is the middle of August, I was running high 8.5's again.

Unfortunately my driving was not up to par today and had chronic problems missing shifts which cause me two loses :rant:. My, now destroyed, helmet received the brunt of my frustration for today. Looks like I have to go buy a new one. Oh well. I needed a new one anyway since the old one was not SFI approved and regularly had that fact pointed out to me by FFW officials. :fu:

T'was a beautiful day in the neighborhood. I red lit in the original elims and
broke out by .02 in the Prez race.

I did split the pot with Tom (of Crazy8 Racing) for 1st place in the
Jackpot race (held after CCW). We went ahead a raced anyway.
I broke out again. :usa: Oil well, the pot paid for the day.

I also got a new, new personal best of 8.68 @ 80.37 (previous pb = 8.84 @ 78.9)! :thumb:
